Using embedded instruction across the day can significantly increases the intensity of instruction on targeted objectives. This session will outline how teachers can organize their schedule to include the use of consistent routines within routines within routines and how instructional objectives can be embedded into routines to maximize instructional opportunities across the day in early childhood settings.
Even the youngest children have some math capabilities. This session will focus on helping teachers understand how toddlers/preschoolers/kindergarteners build number sense. Work with colleagues to improve your own understanding of this developmental sequence and think about how to use it to help children learn.
