Fidelity implementation of the Pyramid Model can greatly reduce the number of challenging behaviors in early childhood classrooms. This session will highlight five key classroom preventative practices that, when implemented with fidelity, can reduce the need for intensive interventions around the remediation of challenging behavior. This session will also describe key steps used in the development and implementation of an individualized positive behavior support plan including the development of a behavior hypothesis and identifying the functions of behavior, and components of a positive behavior support plan.
